Additional values on a secret: a dropdown of roles (secret, id, token, password, username, url, or a custom one) and a + Add value button next to the value field. Each addition is stored as an extra variable and shown in the generated variable names.

Added

  • Additional values on a secret: a dropdown of roles (secret, id, token, password, username, url, or a custom one) and a + Add value button next to the value field. Each addition is stored as an extra variable and shown in the generated variable names.
  • App name and app purpose on a secret, separate from Purpose (what you told the issuer). Also --app-name and --app-purpose on unv entry add and unv entry set, in unv diff, and in the full copy profile.
  • Add key and Add env on a bundle create a new entry that joins the bundle as a slot, instead of only adopting an existing entry by name.
  • The site is laid out like a docs site, with new Install, Comparison, Support, Get help, Administration and Developer pages.

Changed

  • The Add and Edit form is split into sections (Secret, How it is used, Two-factor, About this secret, Organise, Lifecycle).
  • An API key's default value role is key, so a new entry generates GITHUB_KEY rather than GITHUB_API_KEY. Existing entries keep their role.
  • API Secret and Secret role are hidden on new entries and stay visible on an entry that already holds a secret.

Fixed

  • A named variable with an empty value was counted as the entry's payload, so a bundle or environment variable entry could be saved holding a blank secret. New empty rows are dropped, and a name with no value no longer makes the primary value optional.
  • The Generated variable preview showed only the primary and the secret. It lists every name the entry generates and updates as rows change.
  • The desktop window did not notice a change made from a terminal while another window covered it, and ignored the first outside write to a vault that was empty when it opened. A vault served by unv-server is now watched too, with a conditional request that the server answers with 304 while nothing changed.
